Why The Thalia-Beau Foundation matters to us

Our unwavering support for the Thalia-beau Foundation is profoundly personal and meaning to us. As several years ago back in 2011, a close family member, specifically our child Katherine at (aged 4) who is part of the services we provided today, underwent major open-heart surgery at the renowned Leeds General Infirmary in September 2011, where the dedicated healthcare team provided exceptional care throughout the entire challenging journey and continue to do so even to this day.

Despite our unwavering dedication, we faced numerous challenges and made incredibly tough decisions during that particularly trying period of our lives. This experience is what inspired us to adapt our business to better support our partnered charities, like The Thalia-Beau Foundation build on personal challenges we faced that can make a difference to others.

This deeply impactful experience drives our steadfast commitment to the Thalia-beau Foundation. By supporting them through our annual 10% profit share, which will help them send thoughtful gifts to seriously ill children in hospitals and hospices, as they offer a vital lifeline for parents and caregivers, allowing them to witness even a small smile on their child's face during such tough times.

Additionally, they provide essential care packages for family members and caregivers who stay alongside these brave children, as well as for those in on-site family-supported accommodations. This invaluable support is crucial for their well-being during such incredibly challenging times.

Their vital work they do

The Thalia-Beau Foundation goes above and beyond, providing compassionate emotional support, and practical assistance throughout the year. They offer help with  bereavement support, and a welcoming hand to anyone facing hardship, to reach out you can contact them directly with our link to their website.

  • Send seasonal gifts to seriously ill children in hospital/hospice and in the local community

  • Deliver care packages to their family members/carers staying alongside them and in onsite family supported accommodation

  • Offer support to families bereaved of a child 

They support:

  • Martin House Children's Hospice, Boston Spa

  • Ward 51, Children's Cardiac Unit, Leeds General Infirmary

  • Eckersley House, The Sick Children's Trust, Leeds

  • Rainbow Ward, Children's Ward, Scarborough Hospital and the Children's Community Nursing Team

All of whom they hold so close in our hearts for their love and care for their darling girl.

How You Can Make a Difference

There story

Just days after her fourth birthday, our precious Thalia-Beau was diagnosed with an incredibly rare heart condition, Restrictive Cardiomyopathy. Our only hope for the future was for Thalia to receive a heart and lung transplant, but in August 2020, and at just 5 years old, our darling girl fell asleep forever, in our arms.​​

Though her time may have been brief, the impact that

Thalia made was lasting and profound, she radiated an extraordinary warmth, oozed kindness, and all throughout her own suffering, selflessly showed such compassion to others. ​ 

In the wake of our complete devastation, we were fuelled with an intense passion to carry forward Thalia's wonderful legacy, and on her 6th birthday, in November 2020, the foundation was born.​​​​​

December 2023 proudly brought us charity status, and through our hard work, determination and the wonderful support we receive, we are able to keep continuing the beat of Thalia's beautiful little heart.​​
